Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte inaugurated the projects undertaken by CRBC in Philippines

On November 15, the Launching Ceremony of Two China-aided Manila Bridge Projects in the Philippines was held in the Office of President of the Philippines. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte attended and inaugurated the projects. CCCC Vice President Wen Gang and CRBC Chairman Lu Shan were also present upon invitation.

After the inauguration ceremony, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte visited the projects’ model and photo exhibition areas, and CRBC Chairman Lu Shan introduced the conditions and technical parameters of two projects to them in details. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang raised some questions about the clearance, span and construction duration of two bridges, and encouraged CRBC to construct and complete the two bridges in superior quality. CRBC Chairman Lu Shan answered Premier’s questions one by one, and noted that CRBC is capable of and confident in completing the two bridges, a link of the friendship between China and the Philippines, in superior quality and to a high standard.


CRBC Chairman Lu Shan Introduces the Conditions of Bridges to Premier Li Keqiang

Manila Bridge Project comprises Binondo – IntraMuros Bridge and Estella – Pantone Bridge. The two-way four-lane Binondo- Intra-Muros Bridge has a total length of about 734m and a deck width of 21.65m, and the two-way four-lane Estella – Pantone Bridge has a total length of about 560m, a bridge length of about 221m and a deck width of 21.65m.

After the ceremony, CCCC Vice President Wen Gang and CRBC Chairman Lu Shan attended the welcome dinner prepared by President Rodrigo Duterte for Premier Li Keqiang.
