CRBC Chairman Lu Shan Inspects the Construction Site of Phase II Harbor Area Branch Line of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR

On the afternoon of March 11, CRBC Chairman Lu Shan visited the construction site of Phase II Harbor Area Branch Line of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR for work guidance and inspection.

In the Port of Mombasa, CRBC Chairman Lu Shan inspected the construction site of Phase II Harbor Area Branch Line of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR, carefully learned about the O&M of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR within the defect liability period, and inspected the cross-sea bridge construction, integrated ballast bed of Berth 1, as well as the demolition of meter-gauge track of Berth 2.

CRBC Chairman Lu Shan noted that the scheduled opening of Phase II of Harbor Area Branch will further perfect the freight system of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR and improve its freight capacity, which is directly related to the formal acceptance and handover of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR Project and is of great significance for the further expansion of CRBC in Kenya.

CRBC Chairman Lu Shan asked all the construction units to foster firm consciousness of production safety, promote the implementation of production safety responsibility system and ensure zero production safety accident. He also urged all of them to reasonably organize the construction, optimize the resource allocation, accelerate the implementation of remaining works and ensure the successful handover of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR Project under the premise of reliable safety and superior quality. All the construction units are encouraged to proactively communicate and collaborate with Kenya to create a good atmosphere for the promotion of the Project.
