CRBC Chairman Lu Shan Accompanies Minister of the Ministry of Large Industrial and Territorial Management of the Republic of Congo in Inspecting the Mombasa-Nairobi SGR

On the morning of March 11, CRBC Chairman Lu Shan accompanied Minister of the Ministry of Large Industrial and Territorial Management of the Republic of Congo in inspecting the operation conditions of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR in Kenya. The delegation led by Minister Jean Jacques BOUYA visited the Dispatching Center and the Nairobi Terminus, and took Train N2 to Mombasa Terminus for field research.

CRBC Chairman Lu Shan warmly welcomed Minister Jean Jacques BOUYA, emphatically introduced other projects implemented by CRBC in Kenya and along the Eastern African Network, and described CRBC’s planning and construction thought of driving the economic corridor development with traffic corridor by gradually improving the regional port-railway combined transport.

Minister Jean Jacques BOUYA noted that Mombasa-Nairobi SGR is an eco-friendly, economic, convenient and comfortable railway that closely connects the port and the capital, facilitates the personnel and material circulation, drives local employment and promotes the economic development along the line. He emphasized that CRBC is always the best partner of the Government of the Republic of Congo, and that CRBC’s planning and construction thoughts are highly consistent with the national economic development demands of the Republic of Congo. He hoped that more projects which benefit the people’s livelihood and economic development can be launched and implemented in the Republic of Congo as soon as possible by referring to the successful development model in Kenya, so to make them symbolic achievements of Sino-African Cooperation.

Li Qiang- CRBC Vice President and General Manager of CRBC Kenya Office and An Aijun- CRBC Vice President and General Manager of Nairobi-Malabar SGR Project were also present.
