Maputo-Katembe Bridge Wins the 2019 Fulton Awar ds

On June 8, winners of 2019 Fulton Awards were finally announced in South Africa. The Maputo-Katembe Bridge and North Link Roads undertaken by CRBC was granted the 2019 Fulton Awards (Winner of Infrastructure > R100 Million Value) for its advanced construction management technologies and excellent concrete construction quality.

As an important award for concrete structures in southern Africa organized and selected by the Concrete Society of Southern Africa NPC, the 2019 Fulton Awards is aimed to commend innovation in technologies for concrete construction and share valuable experience in quality management, thus improving the quality and technological level of concrete construction in southern Africa.

After fierce competition with 31 projects from the South Africa and surrounding countries, the Maputo-Katembe Bridge and North Link Roads undertaken by CRBC finally won the 2019 Fulton Awards (Winner of Infrastructure > R100 Million Value) for its 340,000 cubic meters of concrete, proper mixing ratio of 25 different types of concrete and grouting materials, excellent concrete quality and durability tests, outstanding cradle construction for approach bridges, as well as well-designed T-girder erection.

This award represents that the Chinese technologies and schemes applied for and the superior quality of the Project are once again recognized by the infrastructure construction industry in southern Africa, which also significantly improves the brand image of CRBC in southern Africa.
