Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Equatorial Guinea Founded, with CRBC Equatorial Guinea Office as the First Presidency Member

The Founding and Inauguration Ceremony of Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Equatorial Guinea was successfully held in Malabo, Capital of Equatorial Guinea, to practically and earnestly practice the spirits of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The Chamber is founded under the leadership of CRBC Equatorial Guinea Office and guidance of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Equatorial Guinea and Commercial Counselor’s Office.

Among the attendees were Ella- Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Chen Guoyou- Chinese Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea, Gu Jiafeng- Chinese Consulate-General in Bata, Su Jianguo- Economic and Commercial Counselor, Engineering Minister, Energy Minister, Transport Minister, Fishery Minister and other officials from Equatorial Guinea, representatives of Chinese enterprises, overseas Chinese, as well as friends from all circles, with a total of over 150 participants.

inaugurate for Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Equatorial Guinea

Special Envoy Ella extended the warm congratulations on the founding of Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Equatorial Guinea on behalf of President Obiang. He noted that the founding of Chinese Chamber of Commerce is of great significance to the economic development of Equatorial Guinea, and hoped that Chinese enterprises could enhance the cooperation local enterprises under the leadership of the Chamber to promote the bilateral technical communication, and help Equatorial Guinea successfully achieve the 2020 Vision.

Ambassador Chen Guoyou noted in his speech that economic and trade investment and practical cooperation are extremely important for the relationship between China and Equatorial Guinea, and will vigorously promote the comprehensive and all-round cooperation between two countries. He hoped that the Chamber could carefully learn and practice the spirits delivered at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, perfectly combine them with the new thoughts, ideas and strategies in this new era, and effectively put the cooperation between China and Equatorial Guinea on economic and trade investment to a new stage.

Counselor Su Jianguo read the congratulatory letter on behalf of China International Contractors Association (CHINCA), and extended the warm congratulations on the founding of the Chamber as the third overseas branch of CHINCA. Meanwhile, he awarded the plate to Zhao Lianzhi- Chairman of the Chamber, and hoped that the Chamber could feed back local society with superior projects, and earnestly promote and participate in the economic and social development of Equatorial Guinea.

Chairman Zhao Lianzhi, on behalf of the Chamber, recalled the remarkable achievements made by Chinese enterprises in economic and social construction of Equatorial Guinea over the past 47 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations, and introduced the purposes and tenets of the Chamber. He noted that the Chamber will practically exert its functions, fulfill the social responsibilities, merge into local society, and show the good image of Chinese enterprises.

At the ceremony, the guests inaugurated for the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Equatorial Guinea and Equatorial Guinea Branch of CHINCA, which indicates the formal founding of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Equatorial Guinea. The representatives of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Equatorial Guinea and the Chamber of Commerce of Equatorial Guinea signed the MOU for win-win cooperation.

Then, led by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Equatorial Guinea and Commercial Counselor’s Office, many Chinese enterprises represented by CRBC Equatorial Guinea Office donated to the Government of Equatorial Guinea and the relevant associations, perfectly showing Chinese enterprises’ good performance in fulfilling social responsibilities. The national TV of Equatorial Guinea and other mainstream media reported the occasion.

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Equatorial Guinea is an oversea branch of China International Contractors Association, and was founded by 30 Chinese enterprises in Equatorial Guinea led by CRBC Equatorial Guinea Office under the initiation of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Equatorial Guinea. Its members are engaged in project contracting, communications, foreign trade, and many other fields, and CRBC Equatorial Guinea Office was recommended as the first presidency member.
