Due to damages in crucial parts, tugboat TERGIT of Friendship Port Authority couldn’t properly function. Even at the final stage of the project, CRBC still allocated ships and personnel to provide free assistance. Director of the Port Authority said, “During the construction process of Friendship Port, CRBC provided sincere assistances free of charge for the Port Authority for several times, which are very important to us.”

Out of repair for many years, the tugboat of Friendship Port Authority sank beneath the No. 1 Berth, which has seriously affected the operation of the Port. On learning this, the CRBC Mauritania Office tried hard to help and finally completed the salvage task.

Since Mauritania is located in the Atlantic Ocean, the seawater has seriously corroded the ships. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly remove the rust, do the cleaning, spray paint and maintain the ships. For that reason, apart from rust removal and maintenance of ships involved in project construction, CRBC also removed the rust and maintained two tugboats and one traffic boat of the Port Authority. Besides, it also provided on the site guidance for the technical workers at Friendship Port of Nouakchott to enhance their vocational and technical capabilities, which turned out to be a success.
