Introduction

CRBC, as Foreign Aid Office of the Ministry of Communications of China, in 60s leading by the Ministry has participated the construction of Karakoram Highway aided by China Government with a period of 12 years.

CRBC entered contracting market in Pakistan since 90s is one of the state-owned companies in China which earliest entered the project contracting market in Pakistan, and in early 1995 one office was established in Karachi, mainly participated in the highway project in Sindh Province, and successively completed 4A project in Sindh, Sukkur Bypass Project and so on.

In 2000, CRBC is mainly participating in Government Framework project. In 2006, CRBC signed the contract for Improvement of KKH (Raikot-Khunjerab 335km) Section Project under promotion and strongly support of Ministry of Communications of China, and in April, 2008 the Branch Office was shifted to Islamabad. Till now, CRBC has completed construction of the Improvement of KKH and Realignment of KKH at Attabad Lake Project.

Historical Moments

The then President of CRBC Mr. Wen Gang signed the MOU of KKH Barrier Lake Realignment Project on July 9, 2010.

The then President of CRBC Mr. Wen Gang and NHA, Pakistan signed the supplementary agreement 1 of KKH Barrier Lake Realignment Project on December 18, 2010.

On February 19, 2014, under the witness of President of China Xi Jinping and President of Pakistan Hussain, the then Chairman Mr Wen Gang representing CRBC and the Ministry of Communications Pakistan signed the MOU of CPEC-- Raikot -- Islamabad Highway. (1)

Pakistan PM and Chinese ambassador Mr. Sun Weidong unveiled the nameplate of KKH Barrier Lake Realignment Project completion ceremony on September, 2015.

On September 14, 2015, Prime Minister of Pakistan visited the field of KKH Barrier Lake Realignment Project, and shaked hands with the leaders of CRBC.

On December 22, 2015, the then President and present Chairman Mr Lu Shan representing CCCC and the chairman of NHA signed the commercial agreement of KKH phase II.

Main Activities

In November 2008, CRBC helped the local to handle the flood, and the representatives of Passu presented a pennant to CRBC for appreciation.

On October 18, 2009, the locals of Shashikot village presented a pennant to appreciate the help of CRBC.

CRBC held the charity activity and subsidized the poor students in February 2012

CRBC donated new uniform, TV, washing machine, mattress, blanket, football and other living and study goods to the Gilgit orphanage in October 2014.

In March 2015, CRBC donated large number of teaching substance to the schools along the alignment, and the local students appreciated CRBC through singing and dancing.
