Introduction

China Road and Bridge Corporation has started business operation in Tajikistan since year 2006, during this period it constructed a series of major project with total highway mileage of 670km and tunnel length of 16km, including Tajikistan-Uzbekistan Highway Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project (Dushanbe-Chnaak) and Phase Ⅰof Dushanbe-Kulma Highway Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project (Tajikistan-China Border) in Dushanbe-Dangara Section. Tajikistan-Uzbekistan Highway is 368.2km long and contains the longest tunnel in Central Asia—the 5253m Shakhristan Tunnel. Phase Ⅰof Dushanbe-Kulma Highway is 147.64km long and the Karmazak tunnel, which is 4450m long, was named  Hatlon Tunnel by president Eomali Rakhmon. China Road and Bridge Corporation has won the approval and the praise of the government and people of Tajikistan, and four Chinese staff was awarded Medal of Friendship by His Excellency Eomali Rakhmon, the President of Tajikistan.
