Celebrate the New Year! CRBC Makes Breakthroughs in Several Projects

On the occasion of ringing out the old year and ringing in the new, CRBC has made breakthroughs in a number of projects, the employees have remained at their posts and welcomed the New Year with their hard work and morale.

Montepuez River temporary bridge project in Mozambique opened to traffic

On 28 December 2020, the temporary bridge project over the Montepuez River in Mozambique was completed and opened to traffic. Mozambican President Nyusi and other dignitaries attended the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Mozambican President spoke highly of CRBC's performance capacity, saying that the Montepuez temporary bridge is "a bridge of happiness, and a bridge of peace" that links the north and the south of Mozambique. And the Chinese bridge builders have made great contributions to the peace process of Mozambique.

The Montepuze River Bridge Project is located on the main line of the N380 Highway in the northern province of Delgado, Mozambique, with a total length of 600 meters, including the subgrade on both sides of the north-south bank and the steel trestle across the Monteguze River.

The Project is the only access from the port of Pemba, Mozambique, to the northern natural gas development block and is a critical route for the supply and transport of construction materials. It plays an important role in the development of natural gas in northern Mozambique and in the economic development of the country in the future.

Bangladesh Martabari Pier welcomed the first cargo ship docking

On December 29, 2020, the first cargo ship docked at the Oil Product & Heavy Cargo Pier of Martabari Coal-fired Power Plant in Bangladesh, marking that the first deep-sea pier in Bangladesh was officially put into operation.

The pier coastline is 82 meters long and 30 meters wide, and the land access bridge is 65 meters long; it can allow the docking of 10,000 DWT oil tankers and 100,000 DWT heavy-lift ships. The Project has successfully put into operation, setting a precedent for the deep-sea pier in Bangladesh.

Concreting of the first pile cap of Lhasa River Estuary Bridge in Sarawak, Malaysia completed

On December 30, 2020, the mass concrete of the first floor of P11 # pile cap of Lhasa River Estuary Bridge in Sarawak, Malaysia was successfully poured, marking that the Project has officially stepped into the fast lane of the construction of pile cap in water.

The Lhasa River Estuary Bridge is 2,430m long, two-way two-lane, 3.5m wide, with 16 spans; it has two main T-shaped spans of 200m each, and other spans of continuous beam structure, with 13 piers in the water. The Project is part of the government's efforts to upgrade land transport and transportation in Sarawak; it will become the longest bridge in the state, change the history that local people can only travel by ferry, reduce transport costs, and promote economic development.

Construction of main pier pile foundation of Cocody Bridge Project completed

On January 2, 2021, the concrete placement of the last pile of the main pier of Cocody Bridge in Cote d'Ivoire was completed, marking the successful completion of the construction of the pile foundation of main pier and a breakthrough in the node construction of key lines and laying a solid foundation for the subsequent construction of the main tower.

Cocody Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with herringbone space special-shaped tower, the main tower is 108.6 meters high and the main bridge is 630 meters long. The main pier foundation adopts 42 bored piles of 2.2 meters in diameter, the pile length is 72 meters, and the bored depth is 78 meters.

Cocody Bridge across the Cocody Bay in Abidjan is one of the important projects for the regulation and comprehensive development of Cocody Bay. It will become the largest cable-stayed bridge in West Africa after completion.
