The Donation Ceremony of “CRBC Scholarship and Grant” of SISU is Held

A grand donation ceremony of “CRBC Scholarship and Grant” was held in Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) on November 29. Chairman Zhang Jianchu of CRBC, Vice Chairman and Vice President Lu Shan of CRBC, Party Secretary of SISU Wu Youfu, President of SISU Cao Deming and Vice President Zhou Cheng in charge of Education Development Foundation attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Chairman Zhang Jianchu gave a brief review of the development history of the Company’s overseas business in the past years and stressed the actions CRBC adopted to actively fulfill its social responsibility and return to the local society while expanding its business. Chairman Zhang pointed out that making talent plans, especially strengthening the cultivation of young students, was an important action that CRBC had constantly promoted for many years. “We do not only make overseas students cultivation plan to cultivate various talents for the project-host countries, but also pay attention to cooperating with universities to promote the cooperation programs in talent cultivation and industry-university-research cooperation.” He also indicated that for a foreign trade and economic enterprise, overseas market was the platform and main battlefield of business development of the Company and excellent language talents were an important force to explore the platform.

At the ceremony, Chairman Zhang Jianchu, on behalf of CRBC, signed the Agreement on “CRBC Scholarship and Grant” with SISU. According to the agreement, CRBC will continue to provide a five-year scholarship and grant, amounting to RMB 1 million, for the excellent students of SISU majoring in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese from 2012.
