Delegation of “Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao)” Visits Maputo Bridge

On June 14 local time, the delegation of “Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao)” visited Maputo Bridge in the company of Liu Xiaoguang- Counsellor of Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Mozambique.

The delegation visited the north concrete anchorage, the north approach bridge, the north main tower, and the model of Maputo Bridge, and watched the promo videos. The delegation spoke highly of the bridge, and asked the Chinese representatives to introduce CRBC to Portuguese-speaking countries for the purpose of introducing Chinese funds and technologies for the development of their countries and making contribution to the implementation of the “Belt and Road” in Africa. The delegation noted that, as the largest suspension bridge in Africa, Maputo Bridge has become the most typical name card of “Made in China” in Africa, and that “Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” will take this opportunity to accelerate the implementation of the “Belt and Road” in Africa.

Themed by economic cooperation and development, the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries is an international economic and trade forum sponsored by the Central Government of China. The member countries are China and Portuguese-speaking countries, including Portugal, East Timor, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Angola and Mozambique.
