CRBC Chairman Lu Shan Meets with Representatives of Crew Members of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR Attending Rehearsal of CCTV Spring Festival Gala
On the morning of February 6, 2018, CRBC Chairman Lu Shan met with ten representatives of crew members of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR attending rehearsal of CCTV Spring Festival Gala, and members of the column group. Ren Wen- Chairman of the Labor Union of CRBC was also present.

Lu Shan noted that the Mombasa-Nairobi SGR undertaken by CRBC is a century railway that symbolizes the long-standing friendship between China and Africa, and is also a benchmark for the export of China’s railway construction standards, operation and management. Since opened for traffic in June 2017, Mombasa-Nairobi SGR has dispatched a total of about 680,000 passengers, and received good response from all sectors of Kenya for its safe and orderly operation, which attributes to the joint efforts and hard work of both Kenyan and Chinese employees. He hoped that all the crew member representatives presenting performance on Spring Festival Gala could show CRBC’s spirits and charm of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR to the whole world.
Ren Wen noted that it is a great honor for CRBC that ten crew member representatives can give performance on CCTV Spring Festival Gala that attracts the attention of Chinese all over the world, and she wished them success. In the meantime, she hoped that all the representatives could feel more Chinese cultures in Beijing and CRBC headquarters after rehearsal, and deeply integrate CRBC’s tenet of “build roads and bridges, make contributions to the society; put employees in the first place, strive for excellent” into the work to create greater values.
In speech delivered, crew member representative Sharon expressed the sincere gratitude to CRBC for building such an advanced railway for Kenya, and also felt honored to work for Mombasa-Nairobi SGR and give performance on CCTV Spring Festival Gala in Beijing. In the meantime, Sharon committed to spare no efforts making contributions to the quality and smooth operation of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR.
Huang Jincan- CRBC President Assistant and General Manager of Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway Operation Company was also present.
