The main work of the Project involves the construction of 4 bridges and 1 tunnel, and the majority sections of the superstructure are multi-span prestressed concrete segmental box beams, with 2,865 beams in total. On September 19, 2016, the erection of the first segmental beam (pier top block for Pier AP009N of Bridge A) commenced. During erection, the construction precision was strictly controlled to ensure accurate alignment and zero work injury. During implementation, the Project caused no impact on local traffic and people’s life, winning great praise from the Owner.

The successful erection of beams marks that the key works for viaduct construction have been progressed from segmental beam erection to such closure works as deck construction, laying a solid foundation for the completion of the Project.
