Commencement of Main Pier of Cocody Bridge in Côte d'Ivoire
Date: 03/27/2020Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Côte d'Ivoire Office has actively implemented the deployment of the Party Committee of the Company, while making vigorous efforts to prevent and control the epidemic, it has also promoted the resumption of work and production in a scientific manner. On the one hand, the Office actively communicated with the owners and supervisors in a timely manner to build a strong fortress for epidemic protection; on the other hand, it effectively and safely allowed the return of all personnel at key posts and put in place materials and machinery to ensure smooth and orderly progress of the construction.
On March 23, at 10 a.m. local time, the pile foundation P7-S9 of the main pier of Cocody Bridge Project in Côte d'Ivoire was drilled smoothly, marking the opening of the construction of bridge main piers.
Cocody Bridge is a chevron-shaped special-tower cable-stayed bridge, with a main tower height of 109 meters and a main bridge length of 630 meters. Spanning the Abidjan Cocody Bay, it is one of the most important projects for the renovation and comprehensive development of Cocody Bay. After completion, it will become the largest cable-stayed bridge in West Africa .
