Open Ceremony of Požega - Duga Poljana Section E763 Highway

On March 20, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Požega - Duga Poljana Section of the E763 Highway was held in Senica, a city in southern Serbia. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Chinese Charge d'Affaires in Serbia Tian Yishu, Serbian Minister of Transport Tomislav Momirović, and CRBC Deputy General Manager and General Manager of the Central and Eastern Europe Regional Center Zhang Xiaoyuan jointly attended the ceremony.

Vučić said that the Požega-Duga Poljana Section of the E763 Highway is the largest infrastructure construction project in southern Serbia, most of which consist of bridges and tunnels, and the construction is extremely difficult. However, now this dream of the Serbian people for many years is about to come true. Thanks to China, the "hard-core friends" of Serbia, and Chinese enterprises for their contributions to this. He believed that CRBC will give full play to its technical and management strength and successfully complete this section of the Project, creating another high-quality project for Serbia.

Tian Yishu said that both the Chinese and Serbian governments take the people's yearning for a better life as their goal, and this common pursuit makes the dreams of the two peoples closely linked. He was very happy that Chinese enterprises could made contributions to the economic and social development of the country in recent years, and believed that CRBC can live up to the expectations of China and Serbia, complete the project construction with high quality, and help the balanced development of the regional economy. He was assured that the friendship between China and Serbia will become stronger and stronger to continuously improve the well-being of the two peoples.

The Požega-Duga Poljana Section of the E763 Highway is a section of the Belgrade-South Adriatic Corridor. It is located in the central and southern part of Serbia, with a total length of about 73 kilometers. It crosses mountains and hills, of which 51 kilometers are composed of bridges and tunnels. The Preljina-Požega Section of the E763 Highway under construction can be extended to the south to connect the north-south expressway in Montenegro in the future.
