CRBC Signed the Agreement of Cambodian Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway Project

On November 10, CRBC and the Cambodian government jointly held the signing ceremony for the Framework Agreement of the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway Project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Chen Zhong, Vice President of CCCC Group, and Sun Chanthol, Minister of State and Minister of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia, signed the agreement on behalf of both sides. Wang Lijun, General Manager of CRBC, attended the event.

At the subsequent press conference, Chen Zhong first expressed his gratitude to the Cambodian government departments and all sectors of society for their support to CCCC and the development of CRBC in Cambodia. He said that the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway is of great significance to the economic and social development of the provinces along the route and to the improved connectivity between Cambodia and Vietnam. CCCC has successfully implemented the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Port Expressway and is capable of successfully implementing the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway Project. He also expressed his expectation to sign the franchise agreement soon.

Sun Chanthol pointed out that the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway Project is a project that has been attached great importance by Prime Minister Hun Sen, which is of significance to the connectivity with Vietnam, Thailand and even China. He noted that Prime Minister Hun Sen highly appreciated the smooth operation of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Port Expressway, and the Cambodian side hoped to reach a franchise agreement as soon as possible and expected the Project to be commenced in 2023 and to be completed by the end of 2026. At the same time, he also expressed the wish to cooperate with CCCC and CRBC in railway, expressway and other projects.

The Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway Project is the second expressway in Cambodia, connecting Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, and Bavet City, the largest border city of Cambodia and Vietnam, with a total length of 138 kilometers.
