CRBC Technical Expert Group Visits Maputo Bridge Project

From June 8 to 10, a technical expert group led by Hou Jinlong- Former Vice President of CCCC inspected and technically supervised the Maputo Bridge and Connecting Line Project undertaken by CRBC in the company of CRBC Chief Engineer Sun Yaoguo.

Scene of Review Meeting on Special Construction Plan for Steel Box Girder Installation

Firstly, the technical expert group listened to the work reports on current construction made by the headquarters and the second construction division in the meeting room at the main campsite, inspected the construction site of the second construction division at the north bank, and understood the progress and technical challenges of the cradle construction. The technical expert group was satisfied with the overall progress in work section at the north bank, fully recognized the hard work of the project team, discussed the small radius cradle construction and other issues attracting great concerns, and raised valuable suggestions.

Then, the technical expert headed to the first construction division at the south bank and inspected the superstructure and the south approach bridge, and held review meeting on special construction plan for steel box girder installation of the main bridge at the campsite of the construction division.

At the meeting, chief engineer of the first construction division made a detailed report on special construction plan for steel box girder installation of Maputo Bridge and its construction characteristics, and explained the plan in details via BIM video animation. The participating experts discussed the plan, and thought that the plan is complete, feasible and operable as a whole, and may be applied on the site after supplementary and perfection.
