CRBC President Du Fei Visits Railway Projects in Kenya for Work Inspection

On July 17, a delegation led by CRBC President Du Fei and CCCC Overseas Business Department Vice President Liang Qingshan visited the railway projects in Kenya for work inspection. The delegation inspected the construction of tunnel portal of Section I of Nairobi-Maraba SGR Project, and held working meeting on the site. An Aijun- CRBC Vice President and General Manager of Nairobi-Maraba SGR Project, etc. were also present.

Assistant to Chief Assistant reported the overall conditions of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR Project, Nairobi-Maraba SGR Project, and ICD project on behalf of the General Manager Department, and emphatically introduced the construction conditions, management ideas, existing problems of Nairobi-Maraba SGR Project, as well as plans for key work in the next step.

Liang Qingshan- Vice President of CCCC Overseas Business Department noted that all organizations shall attach great importance to Nairobi-Maraba SGR Project and spare no efforts to input adequate strength for project construction. Meanwhile, he raised detailed suggestions for how to ensure the public security during the presidential election in Kenya.

CRBC President Du Fei fully recognized the remarkable achievements made by the construction team, and extended sincere gratitude to the management teams, constructors and all employees for their hard work. He deployed several key works to be done recently, briefed the overall conditions of CRBC, and analyzed the overall political and economic situations of Kenya. He noted that all parties should firmly grasp the strategic opportunities brought by the “Belt and Road” Initiative in Kenya under the guidance of CRBC’s “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” to make progress together for better and greater achievements.

An Aijun- CRBC Vice President and General Manager of Nairobi-Maraba SGR Project supplemented the work regarding Mombasa-Nairobi SGR Project, Nairobi-Maraba SGR Project, ICD project, as well as their operations, and briefly commented on the performance of each organization. He emphasized that the construction of Nairobi-Maraba SGR Project will form the operation concepts of “responsibility, dedication, sincerity, innovation, integration and leaping”, and will enable all employees to recognize the goals, management philosophies, cultures, ideas and emotions for better construction.
