Humen Bridge in Guangdong Province
4.6km in length, completed in 1997. The main bridge is single span steel box girder suspension bridge with a span of 888m, the first in China adopting the flat streamlined cable girder. The auxiliary navigable pass bridge with a span of 270m in length, was the largest prestressed concrete continuous steel box girder bridge in China, and was anked the third in the world when completed. Awarded "the First Prize for Highway Engineering Design", "The best prize for National Technique Progress", "Gold Prize for Excellent Design", "The Second Prize for National Science and Technology Progress", "China Civil Engineering Zhantianyou Prize".
