CRBC and CSUST Jointly Carry Out the Cultivation Program for Togolese Students
A grand opening ceremony of ten Togolese students fully funded by CRBC was held in Changsha University of Science and Technology (CSUST) on the morning of October 19. Togolese ambassador to China Nolana Ta Ama, Chinese ambassador to Togo Wang Zuofeng, Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs and Foreign Affairs Office Fu Huaxing, Party Secretary of CSUST Wang Yaozhong and Vice President Lu Shan of CRBC attended the ceremony.
As the representative of the funding enterprise, Vice President Lu Shan delivered an important speech at the ceremony. Lu pointed out that the official opening of this Togolese student class opened a new chapter of CRBC and CSUST cooperating to cultivate professional talents in transportation infrastructure construction field for the Government of Togo. This was not only an important action of CRBC fulfilling the social responsibility of central enterprises, but also would become another successful example of university-enterprise co-construction and industry-university-research cooperation between CRBC and CSUST after they jointly cultivated Angolan students. In his speech, Lu introduced the important projects with regional influence in Togo contracted by CRBC and reviewed the actions that CRBC took an active part in Togo’s programs for public good and returned to the local society. Meanwhile, he pointed out that through cultivating professional talents in infrastructure construction field for Togo, CRBC took concrete actions to help Togo improve its independent development ability, promote the comprehensive social and economic development of Togo and make contributions to the construction of Friendship Bridge between China and Togo.
During the ceremony, Vice President Lu Shan, on behalf of CRBC, signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Talent Cultivation with CSUST. This agreement established the fifth cultivation program for African students after its cooperation with Angola and Equatorial Guinea in 2007 and with the Republic of Congo and Angola in 2012 to cultivate the local students.
