Dhaleswary River Bridge in Bangladesh Built by CRBC Wins “China Construction Engineering Luban Prize(Overseas Project)”
Recently, in the selection of “China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (Overseas Project)”, Dhaleswary River Bridge in Bangladesh built by CRBC won the highest award in the construction industry - “China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (Overseas Project)”. This is the first time that China Construction Industry Association (CCIA) has carried out the selection of “China Construction Engineering Luban Prize” among the overseas projects. This award is a full affirmation of CRBC’s project quality.
Dhaleswary River Bridge, located at the central part of Bangladesh, is the largest China-aided project there at present. The bridge, with a length of 1521m, crosses Dhaleswary River and it is the shortest passageway from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to Munshiganj. After its completion, it will greatly reduce the local traffic pressure, and make great contributions to accelerating the infrastructure construction of Bangladesh and promoting the economic and social development of Bangladesh.
In the construction of this bridge, 11 minor items under 6 of the ten new technologies in the construction industry were used to overcome many engineering technical difficulties. The evaluation of the medium-term quality inspection group and completion acceptance inspection group organized by the Ministry of Commerce on the project acceptance quality is “excellent”. This project was completed six months ahead of schedule and it is praised by the Ministry of Commerce, the design unit and the supervision unit, and also praised by Bangladesh.
