President Lu Shan Meets with Pakistan’s Deputy Speaker Murtaza Abbasi

On the afternoon of July 14, CRBC President Lu Shan met with the visiting delegation led by Deputy Speaker Murtaza Abbasi at the Company’s headquarters, and Wang Wen–Deputy Director of Department of Foreign Affairs of the General Office of the NPC were also present.

President Lu Shan expressed warm welcome to the visit of Deputy Speaker Murtaza Abbasi and introduced the business scope and development course of CRBC and its main achievements in recent years, especially the situation of the completed Karakoram Highway (hereinafter referred to as KKH) Phase I Upgrading (Raikot–Khunjerab) Project and Realignment of KKH at Barrier Lake constructed by CRBC and the latest progress of KKH Phase-II (Havelian-Thakot) Project to be constructed. He said that CRBC was willing to further give play to its advantages in technology, management, talent and brand and make greater contributions to the construction of Pakistan’s infrastructure and the friendship between China and Pakistan.

Deputy Speaker Murtaza Abbasi appreciated the business development of CRBC and spoke highly of CRBC’s high-quality and efficient completion of KKH Phase I and Realignment of KKH at Barrier Lake. He said KKH Phase II was a flagship project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and would play a great role in the social and economic development of Pakistan, and that he and Pakistan's parliament would continue to support the business development of Chinese enterprises in Pakistan, including CRBC.
