Dong Zhiyi- Deputy Director General of CAAC and Fred Lam- President of Airport Authority Hong Kong Inspect Section IV of DCM Project of Three-runway System

On July 10, a delegation led by Dong Zhiyi- Deputy Director General of CAAC and Fred Lam- President of Airport Authority Hong Kong inspected Section IV of DCM Project of Three-runway System in the company of Zhou Jingbo- CCCC President Assistant and President of CCCC Dredging (Group) Company Limited, and Kan Jun- CRBC President Assistant and General Manager of Hong Kong Branch.

The delegation boarded on DCM ship, and queried the project safety and environmental protection conditions. After listening to the brief introduction of CCCC, report on principles of DCM pile foundation construction, he noted that Airport Authority Hong Kong is the internationally leading organization in safety and environment protection, and that CAAC must carefully learn and absorb their experience to further enhance the safety and environmental protection capacities.

In DCM ship control room, Deputy Director General Dong Zhiyi listened to the development history of DCM ship, functions and operation methods of various instruments and equipment, as well as the process for pile foundation construction. After understanding that Japan and Korea have proficiently master the DCM technologies, while China just implements the DCM technologies in large scale for the first time, he noted that DCM technologies are of promising prospects in the future, and that we must take the international first-class level as the benchmark, surpass and finally lead the international first-class level by carefully learning and summarizing the experiences.

During this inspection, Airport Authority Hong Kong finally selected Section IV out of dozens of sections as the subject for the inspection of Deputy Director General Dong Zhiyi, which fully marks the trust on CRBC and recognition of the achievements made by CRBC in safety, environmental protection and progress, and reflects the brand influence and construction capacities of CRBC in Hong Kong.
