The Stay Cable Construction of Cao Lanh Bridge in Vietnam Starts
On October 6, at the Cao Lanh Cable-Stayed Bridge and its 200-long approach bridges on both sides constructed by CRBC, the hanging of the first stay cable on the cable-stayed bridge started, marking the construction of this bridge entered a new stage.
The stay cables are made up of stranded galvanized steel wire and the coat HDPE, and the southern and northern main towers of the main bridge have 128 stay cables in 64 groups. The stay cables have double cable planes, which hang on two tower pillars, respectively. The shortest cable is about 61m while the longest is about 189m and weighs 13.14t. The number of steel strands of the stay cable ranges from 27 to 69.
In the construction process, the project department ensured the safe, high-quality and smooth construction of stay cables through optimizing the construction scheme and reasonably arranging the construction processes, creating a favorable condition to promote the overall progress of Cao Lanh Bridge in Vietnam in an orderly manner.
