CRBC Signs the Business Contract for Eindu to Kawkareik Road Improvement Project in Myanmar

On October 25, witnessed by U Kyaw Lwin - Secretary-general of Ministry of Construction of Myanmar, Liu Hong – Vice President of CRBC and representative of Asian Development Bank, CRBC signed the business contract for Eindu to Kawkareik Road Improvement Project Lot1 & Lot2 in Greater Mekong Subregion East–West Economic Corridor.

At the contract signing ceremony, Vice President Liu Hong said this project had been another project CRBC and the Ministry of Construction of Myanmar would cooperate to construct after the Chindwin River Bridge since CRBC entered the market of Myanmar in 1993, and was also the first international bidding project awarded by the new government of Myanmar this year after it came into power. The successful contract signing was another successful example of cooperation between the enterprises of China and Myanmar in the transport infrastructure construction field, and the completion of the project would improve the transportation network at Myanmar-Thailand border, provide a convenient logistics transportation corridor and drive the local economic development. He hoped that CRBC could carry out wider cooperation with the Ministry of Construction of Myanmar to make contributions to the infrastructure construction of Myanmar.

Eindu to Kawkareik Road Improvement Project, Myanmar, located in Kayin State, East Myanmar, is about 65km long and 11m wide; it will be constructed according to the second-class road standard with a construction period of 36 months.
