Chairman Wen Gang Calls on President SASSOU of Congo-Brazzaville
On the morning of July 6, Chairman Wen Gang called on President Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo who was paying a state visit to China at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

Chairman Wen Gang expressed welcome to President Sassou’s first visit to China after his re-election. He introduced the successful experience of CRBC in the field of investment and development of industrial park and industrial and mineral industry in recent years and expressed the wish that CRBC was willing to take the opportunity of New Pointe Noire Project which was newly signed with the government of Congo-Brazzaville to actively participate in the investment and construction of port-neighboring industrial parks. He also said that CRBC had always paid attention to the market of Congo-Brazzaville and that apart from the close cooperation with the government of Congo-Brazzaville in the traditional infrastructure construction field, CRBC also actively looked for cooperation in multiple fields, such as investment and education.
President Sassou highly affirmed the long-term performance of CRBC in the production and operation and social responsibility in Congo-Brazzaville and made a positive response to the industrial park project mainly promoted by CRBC. He said CRBC constructed several high-quality infrastructure projects in Congo-Brazzaville and was a trustworthy partner of the government of Congo-Brazzaville, and that the government of Congo-Brazzaville was willing to carry out more comprehensive cooperation with CRBC in broader fields.
After the meeting, President Sassou, in the company of Chairman Wen Gang, received four international student representatives from Congo-Brazzaville fully financially aided by CRBC and had a friendly talk with them. He said with the financial aid of CRBC, 100 students from Congo-Brazzaville had outstanding learning results and he hoped that these students could return home early and become the backbone force of infrastructure construction of Congo-Brazzaville.
In recent years, CRBC has constructed a series of major landmark projects, such as National No. 2 Highway, Brazzaville Viaduct, Brazzaville Riverside Road. This February, CRBC successfully signed the business contract for New Pointe Noire Project. New Pointe Noire Project is a key project under Sino-Africa production capacity cooperation and attracted much attention of leaders of both countries. In May, 2013, President Xi Jinping paid a visit to Congo-Brazzaville and then, CRBC and Congo-Brazzaville, witnessed by heads of both countries, signed the strategic partnership agreement on the development of New Pointe Noire. On July 5, 2016, President Sassou visited China, and when talking with President Sassou, President Xi Jinping said China will support the development of a special economic zone in Pointe Noir to speed up bilateral industrial cooperation.
