Vice President Du Fei Attends the 4th Session of China-Gabon Trade and Economic Joint Committee with the Delegation of the Ministry of Commerce

On January 28, Qian Keming, Vice Minister of Commerce, attended the 4th session of China-Gabon Trade and Economic Joint Committee, and CRBC Vice President Du Fei attended this session together with the delegation of the Ministry of Commerce, and witnessed the signing of relevant assistance agreement between China and Gabon.

At the meeting, IMMONGAULT TATAGANI - Minister of Economic Investment and Social Prospect of Gabon spoke highly of China and Gabon's achievements in commerce and trade, infrastructure construction, forestry and fishery in the recent years, mentioned PORT GENTIL- OMBOUE (93KM) and the bridge Booué Of Ogooué(hereinafter referred to as PO project) and Port Gentil Municipal Outlet Road Forasol-MBega Section (hereinafter referred to as FM project) constructed by CRBC for several times, and stressed the important strategic significance of such projects as PO project and FM project in improving traffic condition and promoting the economic transformation and sustainable development of Gabon.

Mr. Qian Kemiing expressed his congratulations to the achievements of Gabon in economic construction, introduced the current situation of China's economic development and the policies of the Chinese government to the cooperation with Africa, and hoped to take the opportunity of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Johannesburg Summit in the previous year to efficiently and practically promote the cooperation between two sides in the economic and trade field together with Gabon. He pointed out that infrastructure construction was a traditional field in the China-Africa cooperation and was important to promote the economic development and improve people's livelihood and that the projects such as PO project and FM project in Gabon also attracted much attention of the Chinese government.

After the meeting, Mr. Du Fei, on behalf of Chinese enterprises, attended the entertainment dinner held by the Ministry of Economy of Gabon, and made a local visit together with the delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of China.
