CRBC Makes a Donation to a Belarusian Hospital to Help the Development of Local Medical Cause
Belarus Office of CRBC donated USD 30 thousand to “Old Diatlovic” Hospital in Gomel City, Belarus on July 17, in order to improve the hospital’s medical conditions and maintain its nursing rooms.
Gomel City is the second largest city in Belarus and also the capital of Gomel State; it is adjacent to the border of Ukraine. After the Chernobyl nuclear accident happened in 1986, because of wind direction, the radiation has covered the whole Gomel region. As a result, Gomel becomes the most serious radiation-contaminated area. The Western Media ever predicted, “In 20 years, all the people in Gomel will die and Gomel City will become a dead city.” Influenced by radioactive substances, the immunity of residents in Gomel State declined and the prevalence rate of such diseases as heart disease and cancer increased sharply. Therefore, Belarus spares no efforts to develop the local medical health cause. “Old Diatlovic” Hospital in Gomel City is one of the largest medical institutions specialized in post-accident victim treatment and rehabilitation in this region.
This donation was highly praised by the government of Gomel State. Both Lieutenant-Governor and the hospital wrote to the Office, speaking highly of CRBC’s good sense of social responsibility and wishing a successful completion of M5 highway (Zhlobin - Gomel).
It has always been the operation principle of CRBC in conducting businesses in the world to actively fulfill the social responsibility and repay the local people. For decades, CRBC has always performed its duties in the project-host countries and conscientiously built excellent projects, and also tried its best to do good works. Its good works set up a good social image effectively for CRBC. While helping CRBC integrate into the local society quickly, these good works also deepen the friendship between China and project-host countries.
