Introduction

CRBC officially entered the Togo market in 2008 through the economic assistance project “REHABILITATION PROJECT OF THREE WATER DAMAGE BRIDGES OF RN1”. Approved by the Ministry of Commerce and CCCC, CHINA ROAD AND BRIDGE CORPORATION Togo Office was created the same year. According to business development needs, Togo branch was registered in 2013.

Togo branch has more than 100 Chinese employees, more than 1,000 local employees and more than 250 sets of all kinds of machinery and equipment. Over the past decade, the branch is mainly engaged in infrastructure projects like roads and bridges, and has completed more than ten projects, for example REHABILITATION PROJECT OF THREE WATER DAMAGE BRIDGES OF RN1, PROJECT OF DEVELOPMENT AND BITUMINATION OF LOME BYPASS (PHASE 1), PROJECT OF THE REHABILITATION AND MODERNIZATION OF THE ROAD AFLAO-SANVEE CONDJI-BENIN BORDER and so on.

Historical Moments

On March 3, 2010, the commencement ceremony of the PROJECT OF DEVELOPMENT AND BITUMINATION OF LOME BYPASS (PHASE 1) was held and hosted by President of Togo, Faure Gnassingbé, with the participation of Prime Minister, all members of the Cabinet and other officials, as well as diplomatic envoys.

On October 8, 2011, Minister of Public constructions and Transports of Togo, Tchamdja Andjo, visited the construction site of PROJECT OF DEVELOPMENT AND BITUMINATION OF LOME BYPASS (PHASE 1).

On January 12, 2013, Togolese chief of general staff, TITIKPINA M. Atcha, visited the construction site of PROJECT OF DEVELOPMENT AND BITUMINATION OF LOME BYPASS (PHASE 1) with his group.

On May 3, 2013, Minister of Public constructions and Transports of Togo, Tchamdja Andjo, participated in the ceremony for the setting up of beams of the NO.34 interchange of the PROJECT OF DEVELOPMENT AND BITUMINATION OF LOME BYPASS (PHASE 1) and watched the process.

On October 24, 2013, Chinese Ambassador Wang Zuofeng, Counselor Hu Ping and others visited the PROJECT OF DEVELOPMENT AND BITUMINATION OF LOME BYPASS (PHASE 1).

On 19 November, 2011, the President of Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, accompanied by the Minister of Public works and Transports, inspected the PROJECT OF RENOVATION AND DISPOSAL OF CRITICAL SECTIONS OF NR1.

Main Activities

On October 11, 2014, the Ambassador to Togo, Minister of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Youth Affairs, and Minister of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport participated in the China-Togo Youth Long-distance Running Race on ring road of Lome.

Organize football match for employees

In order to enable local employees to communicate with Chinese managers better and faster, Togo branch has also set up Chinese courses for local employees. With daily expression lists and being taught by Chinese managers, local employees combine the language learning into their work so that to reduce the difficulties caused by language barriers and improve their enthusiasm for the work.

Present Christmas benefits to local employees

In order to ensure that the local staff can be quickly qualified for the job, Togo branch has developed a series of pre-job training courses, including that of management system, production safety, occupational health and other vocational skills for different types of work.
